OVERVIEW
Nathan Y. Andres, M.A., is a purpose driven coach, wellbeing advocate, enterprise HR leader, culture & change agent, and strategic driver in the HR/People & Well-being spaces for non-profit and in the commercial industries of beauty and personal care, specialty toy manufacturing, luxury retail, fashion, and professional sports. As a seasoned HR Executive with 25 years’ experience, Nathan has built tremendous success in all areas of Human Resources, D&l, Engagement and Well-being. He is also the author of the three-time award winning and best-selling book, Your REAL Life: Get Authentic, Be Resilient & Make it Count.
Most recently, Nathan held dual hats at The Body Shop International, leading Global Wellbeing across 66 markets and serving as the People Director for Asia-Pacific’s 22 markets and franchises. He has worked with international womenswear designer Nanette Lepore, Major League Baseball, the Los Angeles Angels Baseball Club, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lane Crawford, The Marketing Store Worldwide and Lululemon. He currently serves as Global Director & Chief People Officer for B Lab Global, a global non-profit leading the purpose driven work of systemic economic equality and using business for “good.” Such big brands and businesses have given him global, multi-national, multi-state, multi-venue employee, human resource and coaching experience as well as exposure to the many nuances of “lean business practice” with big names and big brands.

BACKGROUND & CREDENTIALS
In his spare time, Nate enjoys involvement in the community. In 2017, he founded his own coaching and consultancy practice, L’Au & Co., that engages clients globally. He is a member of the International Coaching Federation, holding PCC level certification hours credentials. Today, Nathan is a popular global keynote speaker and holds speaking events around the world on Wellbeing, Resilience, Authenticity and Mental Health in the workplace.
Before his career in Human Resources & Coaching, Nate spent five years working as an international relations specialist, interpreter, teacher, and business bridge builder in Japan and the United States. He is fluent in English and Japanese, conversant in French.
A believer in lifelong learning, and specialist in career reinvention, Nate first earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from Marquette University in 1995 and is a 2004 graduate of New York University’s Human Resource Management Graduate Diploma program. In 2015, Nate became a Certified Professional and Executive Coach and earned a Master’s of Arts, in Coaching, Learning & Development from Middlesex University, London in 2017.
PERSONAL
A Columbus, Ohio (USA) native, “global citizen” Nate has lived twice in Tokyo, Japan, holds permanent residency in Hong Kong and lived in Singapore for nearly four years. Nathan is a four-time marathon finisher and enjoys tennis, yoga, meditation and movies. He is an avid Wellbeing & LGBTQ activist contributing to causes around the world. Be it for business or pleasure, his passion is traveling the globe. Nathan and his spouse currently reside in Washington, D.C. with their dogs, Vivi & Coco.
